These dishes are a symbol over many generations. They last and last...until the younger generation doesn't handle them with appropriate care, hence chipping the edges!
I'd had mine for 20+ years until I inherited a grandchild and had to replace the lid as it got chipped.
Looked everywhere and couldn't find the simple Pyrex baking dishes. Bingo, went on Amazon and found them.
